On this page, you control how the plugin generates and applies internal links across your website.

Automation

This section defines when the plugin should work automatically.

Generate automatically on save

If enabled, the plugin will automatically create internal link suggestions whenever you save a post.

If disabled, suggestions must be generated manually.

Apply links automatically on save

If enabled, the plugin will automatically insert the suggested links into the content after generating them.

If disabled, you can review and apply links manually.

Tip: Keep this balanced to maintain natural and readable content.

Generate automatically for status

Choose for which post statuses automatic generation should run:

• Publish — when the post is published
• Draft — while editing
• Pending — waiting for review
• Private — private posts

Example: If only “Draft” is selected, suggestions will be generated while editing drafts.

Link Settings

Maximum number of internal links per post

Defines how many internal links can be inserted into each post.

Recommended:
3 to 6 links per post usually keeps content clean and natural.

Pillar Articles (Preferred Destinations)

Here you select your most important articles.

These articles will be prioritized as link destinations whenever they are relevant.

How to use:

1. Type in the search field.
2. Select an article.
3. It will appear as a label.
4. Click “×” to remove it.

Tip:
Keep between 3 and 10 pillar articles for best results.

Article Scope

This section defines which types of content will appear in the plugin panel on this page (below the settings), where you can manage suggestions and apply links.

Post Types

Choose which content types should be listed in the plugin panel below.

For example:

• If you select “Post”, blog posts will appear in the list.
• If you select “Product”, WooCommerce products will also appear.
• If you select only “Post”, pages and products will not be shown.

In short:
This controls which content types are available for management inside the AI SEO Internal Linker page.

Panel Status

Choose which post statuses should be displayed in the plugin panel.

For example:

• If you select “Draft”, only draft posts will appear.
• If you select “Publish”, published posts will appear.

This helps you filter which content you want to manage.

Save Settings

After making changes, click “Save Settings”.

The plugin will now operate according to your selected configuration.

Articles Panel

This section allows you to manage internal link suggestions for your content.

Here you can:

• View posts
• Generate suggestions
• Apply internal links
• Remove links
• Clear suggestions
• Perform bulk actions

Filters (Top Bar)

At the top of the panel, you can filter the content list.

Filter by Status

Choose which posts to display:

• All statuses
• Published
• Draft

This helps you focus only on the content you want to manage.

Items per Page

Choose how many posts to display per page:

• 50
• 100
• 200

Search

Use the search field to find posts by:

• Title
• Post ID

Click Filter to apply the search or filters.

Bulk Actions

You can select multiple posts and perform actions on all of them at once.

How to use:

1. Check the boxes next to the posts.
2. Choose an action from the dropdown.
3. Click Apply.

Available actions:

• Generate suggestions — creates internal link suggestions.
• Apply links — inserts suggested links into the content.
• Remove links — removes previously inserted links.
• Clear suggestions — deletes stored suggestions without changing content.

The “Selected” counter shows how many posts are currently selected.

Pagination and Total

• “Total” shows how many posts match your filters.
• Use the page numbers to navigate between pages.

Post Row Information

Each row represents one post and displays:

• Selection checkbox
• Post title (click to edit the post)
• Post status
• Date
• Internal link data (such as suggestions or applied links)
• Action buttons

Individual Actions (Per Post)

Each post has its own action buttons:

Generate suggestions

Creates internal link suggestions for that specific post.

Apply links

Inserts the suggested links into the content.

Remove links

Removes links previously inserted by the plugin.

Clear suggestions

Deletes stored suggestions without modifying the content.

This panel gives you full control over internal linking across your website — individually or in bulk.
